The biggest difference between unmodded and Automate mod is that you are forced to build multiple more machines, especially for short time products like copper bars or coffee kegs and you have to watch over them and fill them yourself. You may even lose time with the additional inventory/hopper/chest management. It does not save any time, because you could just double click the smelter with a selected iron ore plus coal in inventory. You take out the bar manually and the smelter then is automatically filled with the iron ore and coal. You have a hopper behind the smelter which is filled with coal and iron ore. you have a smelter with a finished iron bar. Items placed inside will automatically be loaded into the machine in front of it.Į.g.Let us shortly repeat what a Stardew Valley Hopper does: Let's not compare them to the Automate mod but to the vanilla possibilities. However I can't find Hoppers any useful, besides they are expensive as hell. ![]() I came to the to point, where I nearly tested out every new item in 1.5.0 and for most of them I found an useful usecase, where it is worth to invest in them.
